Task
Ukrainian drifting needed one system instead of spreadsheets and chats: organisers running seasons of several series, drivers registering online, and judges scoring right at the track.
Standings and results had to update immediately — for drivers, spectators and the broadcast.
What we did
We built a Ruby on Rails platform with seven roles — from driver to judge and admin — each with its own dashboard. Every judge scores qualifying runs, battles are decided by votes with one-more-time reruns, and brackets are generated automatically: single or double elimination, or round robin.
Championship points are calculated right after each round, counting a driver’s best rounds of the season. Results update live, there are vMix and OBS broadcast overlays, paid live streams, driver donations and a public API that powers the Open Drift Series and UDC websites.
